Pencil Sketches

Below are two pencil drawings/sketches I did. The first was a quick, simple drawing, focusing on my skills of trying to draw gas masks better. I did it with a mushroom cloud in the back over a destroyed city. The gas mask is hanging on a tree, killed by radiation, signifying the lost hopes of man kind through nuclear war.

The following picture is a drawing I did of a Succubus, a demon in the shape of a woman who represents temptation and lust in modern society. They are a biblical creature, who tempted men into the depths of hell. I spent a lot of time on this drawing, and I hope you enjoy it. It's still one of my only drawings of the female figure.

Drawing with Lines

Over the years I have come to admire the beauty of simplicity in drawings and designs, and how complex these simple things can get. I have really focused on black and white contrasts throughout the majority of my work. I believe that there is no greater difference, then that of the colors, Black and White. My grandfather in an exceptional artist, and since I was a child, he always taught me to use the white of the paper. He always said that using white watercolors on white paper was redundant. I took that with me and used it in my designs, the paper is the white.

Many of the drawings I do, in terms of the line drawings, can be anything, and are up to interpretation, but I would love to eventually see some of these inked on either myself or others. These pictures are mine, and I would appreciate credit when using them.

The following pictures are designs I did in just Black and White. I was inspired by Tribal Tattoos and things I see in my everyday life. I hope you enjoy them, and if you'd like to comment, I would love to hear what you have to say.

The next drawing I did for my gf, and was just a quick sketch, but I think it turned out really well. One of my first tribal flowers. It's done in blue ink, instead of black.

The following drawing is based on the same concept, except it was done with both black and Red Ink. I did this last December while in Dubai, visiting my family. I think it would be a great tattoo to get on either a bicep, down the ribs or on half of the back. This is one of my favorites, just because of the skull, and the black and red tribal designs intertwining.

The final drawing of this post is a drawing I did in class while attending Les Roches. I can't remember which class, but I still have the original with me at all times. Warren Jack Doty was sitting next to me, and when he saw it, I think I remember him saying, "would love that tattoo!". I think you can figure out what it's suppose to be. Jessica Huber, thanks for the colored pens that day!

That's all for now, will be loading a bunch more in the near future. If you have any comments or requests, please feel free to write in the provided space below.
